Working in your community

We support the communities where you live and work. Our newest partnerships with South East Community Links and Uniting Vic.Tas, will support those in need of financial care.

Financial stress can have devastating effects on Australians. We have one of the highest levels of household debt in the world. It's estimated that 21% of the population are under financial stress.* It's common for many in these situations to not know where to get help, what solutions are offered or event to understand their rights.

Recent studies have concluded that financial counselling, offered by community agencies such as South East Community Links and Uniting Vic. Tas, can significantly help financially stressed families.*

The reality is that there is a high demand for these services, waiting times can be lengthy and many financial counsellors are turning away people seeking their help.^

That's why the LUCRF Super Community Program will provide funding for almost two years to both these organisations.

We will specifically fund another financial counsellor to be on staff for each. We hope this will ease waiting times and reduce the number of people turned away. This is the first partnership of its kind for LUCRF Super and is one of the ways we're working to create a better future for our community.
