Insurance Code of Practice
A code of practice for greater member benefits and insurance transparency
The Insurance in Superannuation Voluntary Code of Practice (the Code) came into effect from 1 July 2018 and is a first for the industry. It sets standards that provide greater understanding, clearer accountability and consistency of delivery for insurance benefits provided in superannuation across the industry.
We’re fully supportive of the development of the Code and intend to comply with its outlined standards, adhering to its objectives to be transparent, fair, respectful, honest and timely.
We're proud to already be compliant with many of the standards set out in the Code prior to its introduction. We’ll continue to make decisions that are in the best interests of our members. We believe the adoption of the Code (combined with further planned enhancements) will lead to greater member benefits.
