Annual Statement FAQs

Sometimes a question is quickly answered by a little bit of information.

When will I receive my 2018/2019 annual statement?

You’ll receive your annual statement at the beginning of November. If you’ve registered your email address with LUCRF Super, then you’ll receive your statement via email. If you haven’t, you’ll receive your statement by post.

What’s different about this year’s statement?

This year your statement will look a little different to previous years’ statements. Our new-look statements have been designed in a way that makes them easier to read and understand. Some statements will also include a retirement projection, which provides you with an estimate of how much income you could have when you retire.

Why are the 2018/2019 annual statements being sent out later than previous years?

This year’s annual statements are being sent out a little later than previous years as we’re including retirement income projections for some members. This has required a bit more technical work in the background than our previous annual statements. We decided the delay was worth it in order to help our members gain an understanding of what retirement income they may have when they retire. We appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we finalise all the information. In the meantime, whilst you’re waiting for your statement to arrive, you can always log into your  Members Online account to see your balance.

How do I update my contact details?

Moved house? Changed your email address? It’s easy to update your contact details: log into your Members Online account or contact us on 1300 130 780 and we’ll do it for you over the phone.

Why did I get my statement via mail when I asked for it to be emailed to me?

If you selected email as your preferred form of communication but received your statement by mail, it might be that our email to you couldn’t be delivered successfully. When sending annual statements, if an email is returned as being undeliverable, we’ll then send it to you by mail. If this is the case, it might be that you’ve either changed your email address or you’ve provided us with an invalid email address. You can check or update your contact details through your Members Online account or contact us on 1300 130 780 and we’ll do it for you over the phone.

How do I change my contact preference from email to mail, or mail to email?

You can either log into your Members Online account to update how you’d like to receive your annual statement from us or contact us on 1300 130 780 and we’ll do it for you over the phone.

Please note that a change in preference will only be effective for next year’s annual statement.

What’s a retirement income projection?

A projection is an estimate of how much income you could get when you retire, based on a number of assumptions (which are listed in your annual statement) and the balance in your LUCRF Super account at 30 June 2019.

The amount, which is shown in today’s dollars, is based on a specific set of assumptions prescribed by the regulator and doesn’t take into account changes to your investment options, increase or decrease in contributions, or changes in your career.

Why didn’t I get a projection on my statement?

There are a number of factors which will determine whether you receive a projection. These include your age, whether you’ve received or made contributions recently, and whether you’re already retired or are in the process of transitioning to retirement.

I didn’t get a projection but would like to find out how much I need to retire. What do I need to do?

If you haven’t received a projection but would like to know what your income could be at retirement, call us on 1300 130 780 and speak to one of our financial advisers who will do it for you over the phone.
